Tavares recently refurbished the vessels, which will ferry visitors across Lake Dora to Mount Dora and back to Tavares with a possible stop in the middle at Deer Island.

The Wooton Park Seaplane & Marina Basin is part of a multi-modal transporation system that will connect Tavares to other cities, railways, public transit, water taxis, downtown business, events, festivals, parks and other areas of interest.

Imagine flying in on your seaplane and having dinner in historic downtown Tavares and then catching the train to Orlando, or how about taking a relaxing water taxi ride across lake Dora to the shops in Mount Dora.
