Lake County's Blueways Provide One Of A Kind Lake Front Activities

Unlike many of the Lake Front Activities to be enjoyed throughout Central Florida, Lake County's 130 miles of Blueways is truly a unique experience for canoeists, kayakers and nature lovers.

Blueways are hiking trails for canoeists and kayakers.  Instead of hiking through the beautiful Lake County Florida Landscape, grab a paddle and enjoy the wonder of Central Florida from the water. Physical and geo-positioned markers guide trail users through the waterways. Our blueway trails includes an abundance of scenery and natural wildlife as well as easy canoe and kayak access. The Lake County Community Blueways Project identifies scenic waterways that feature nearby amenities for paddlers. All eight trails of the Lake County Blueways system are within the areas of the St. Johns River, Golden Triangle, Palatlakaha Basin and Oklawaha Basin and offer what can only be considered a one of a kind experience for Central Florida Lake Front Activities.
